<B>1913-D $20 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> Most examples of the 1913-D double eagle survived in European or South American bank vaults before returning to the States over the past four decades. MS63 and MS64 coins are sufficiently available, but the number of Gems drops dramatically (Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth, 2006). Blazing luster envelops this MS65 specimen, and apricot-gold color graces both sides.
