1913 5C Type Two PR67 PCGS. This is an elusive proof Buffalo Nickel from the early period of the series. The certified population of this issue is so small that Lange (2000) believes a decent number of coins must have been melted as unsold at year's end. Fortunately for our bidders, we are offering multiple high grade examples in the present sale. This Superb Gem displays competing swirls of champagne-gray and apricot-orange patina. The color is a little more vivid on the obverse, but both sides are essentially devoid of distracting blemishes. Fully brought up, as befits a specimen striking, and worthy of inclusion in the finest specialized collection. Population: 38 in 67, only one is finer at PCGS (10/02). Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
