<B>1913 5C Type Two PR67 NGC.</B></I> It is thought that many of the 1,514-piece 1913 Type Two proof nickels remained unsold at the end of the year and were melted. In any event, Superb Gem proofs such as the one in this lot are not that easy to locate, and higher-grade specimens are nearly unobtainable. Low intensity ice-blue, lilac, and gold-beige colors interact over near-pristine surfaces, and the design features are well brought up. A truly splendid Buffalo nickel.
