1913 5C Type Two PR66 PCGS. Scarcer than its similarly dated Type One counterpart, the 1913 Type Two is the rarest issue in the early proof Buffalo Nickel series after the 1916. The finely granular texture of the satin finished surfaces is readily evident under a loupe, and it helps to confirm this coin's status as a specimen striking. Of course, the superior striking quality (all devices are razor sharp in detail) is also indicative of a proof delivery. Housed in an older PCGS holder, the golden-gray surfaces are free of even a single mentionable blemish. From the BTB Collection of Buffalo Nickels.
