<B>1913<5C> Type One PR67 NGC.</B></I> Nearly one of the finest survivors from the original proof mintage of 1,520 pieces, this example is exceeded by a total of only four coins at NGC and PCGS combined (9/06). The surfaces are lightly patinated in heather and golden hues, showing the fine-grained, satiny finish characteristic of genuine proofs, as well as the high, squared rims that are equally diagnostic. Extensive scrutiny reveals only the most trivial contact marks, and the reverse is rotated about 30 degrees counterclockwise. A nice example for a high-grade type set.
