1913 5C Type One PR67 NGC. A lovely satin finished specimen striking of the premier Buffalo Nickel d
1913 5C Type One PR67 NGC. A lovely satin finished specimen striking of the premier Buffalo Nickel delivery from the Philadelphia Mint, this coin is originally toned with swirling multicolored shadings that yield to olive-gray patina at indirect angles. The strike is razor sharp over all major design elements, although we note some slight softness of detail on the obverse at the word LIBERTY. Nonetheless, the pristine and obviously original surfaces should endear this coin to an advanced specialist who appreciates originality as well as technical quality. The proof 1913 Type One is anything but common in high grades because many specimens were inadvertently spent due to the fact that their appearance is similar to that of well produced business strikes.
