1913 5C Type One MS64 PCGS. Smoky patches of gold coloration along with some carbon spots are seen on clean surfaces. FS-14.85, Polished Die Reverse, 3 1/2 leg. The most recent edition of The Cherrypickers' Guide notes, "The reverse die was heavily abraded, possibly to remove clash marks. The result was a die with most of the bison's front leg missing, hence the nickname '3 Legged Buffalo'. Since first being reported, few additional specimens have surfaced." Of considerable rarity and interest to the specialist in this popular series. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
