1913 50C PR68 Cameo NGC. Half Dollar production at the Philadelphia Mint dipped to just 188,627 piec
1913 50C PR68 Cameo NGC. Half Dollar production at the Philadelphia Mint dipped to just 188,627 pieces in 1913, 627 coins of which were proofs. The scarcity of high grade business strikes, even high grade circulated business strikes, has resulted in considerable date collector pressure being brought to bear on survivors of the proof delivery. While proofs are generally available in grades up to and including the near-Gem level, and Gems can be acquired with a little patience, the present Superb Gem is an undeniably rare coin from the standpoint of surface preservation. This is the finest proof 1913 Barber Half that we have handled, and it is the finest certified of just four Cameo-designated specimens at NGC (7/02). Warm mint frost blankets the powerfully impressed devices, which are set atop deeply mirrored and sparkling fields. There is not a single distracting blemish or useful pedigree marker on either side of this pristine representative. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
