1913 $5 MS64 NGC. While not the most common of the Indian half eagles, the 1913 P-mint issue is readily available in all grades below Gem condition. However, in grades of MS65 and higher, this date seems to be as scarce as most of the other "obtainable" dates in the series. In fact, PCGS has only graded 41 finer than the current example (4/07). Characteristic of most Indian half eagles struck at the Philadelphia Mint, the 1913 five dollar is usually found well struck and with attractive luster. Finding one without the typical surface distractions from careless handling becomes the test, and this coin rises to the challenge. The surfaces display smooth, softly frosted mint luster and there are none of the usually seen large marks common to this type. Subtle coloration is also noted and adds even more to the eye appeal of this coin.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
