<B>1913 $2 1/2 MS65 NGC.</B></I> Although it is considered a common date, as are all Indian quarter eagles except 1911-D and 1914, this issue is seldom encountered in Gem condition and rarely finer. The 1913 Indian quarter eagle had the highest mintage of any issue in the series with production continuing until 722,165 coins were struck. Like nearly every other Gem piece known, this example is sharply struck with brilliant pinkish-gold color and frosty luster. The surfaces have a slightly grainy texture, as do nearly all known pieces.
