<B>1913 10C PR66 Cameo NGC.</B></I> Walter Breen says of the 1913 proof dime, with a mintage of 622 pieces, that it was "much hoarded." The NGC/PCGS population data tend to confirm Breen's contention, as the services have certified hundreds of examples, many in the PR63 to PR65 grade levels. Cameos are another matter, however. Fewer than 30 such pieces have been seen. This Premium Gem Cameo is nearly untoned and exquisitely struck. Both sides exhibit pronounced contrast, and are impeccably preserved.
