<B>1912-S<25C> MS66 PCGS.</B></I> A brilliant Premium Gem example of one of the more underrated dates in the series, likely overshadowed by its proximity to the 1913-S. The 1912-S is nonetheless a rare date in Mint State, confirmed by the combined NGC-PCGS population data that show only 46 pieces in Gem condition or finer. This essentially brilliant example shows a slight golden cast along with a bit of light haze in part of the obverse field. A bold strike brings up all the star centrils, although some softness is seen on the right (facing) shield corner and right claw. Nonetheless quite high-end and appealing. Population: 8 in 66, 2 finer (9/06).
