<B>1912-S $10 MS64 PCGS.</B></I> The S-mint tens from this decade are rare finds in mint condition, even marginal ones. In near-Gem condition they are especially difficult and it is notable that an MS64 and an MS65 are present in this auction. Years ago David Akers noted that "high grade and attractive" and "1912-S eagle" are almost mutually exclusive terms. That is certainly not the case with this coin. This piece has sparkling mint frost and a generous mixture of deep rose-gold and lilac patina on each side. An exceptionally attractive coin that merits examination by specialists.
