1912-S $10 Indian NGC MS65
1912-S $10 Indian. NGC graded MS65. NGC Pop: 3/2. Only 300,000 minted. One of the gemmiest examples graded by PCGS, with limited availability butting heads with growing popularity for the condition rarities in this difficult series. A singularly beautiful coin. Identifiable by a small area of roughness in the lower left obverse field opposite Liberty's chin. Pleasing orange gold color on both sides, and boldly struck throughout by the dies although not in the same class as some Philadelphia mint strikes of the period. 1912-S, as it is usually found, is one of the more unattractive issues of the series due to most being poorly struck. Fortunately, the coin offered in this lot, true to its MS65 heritage, generates considerable overall eye appeal. Therefore, weigh carefully this impressive Gem example, for it is a worthy coin for the advanced numismatist to aspire to own. We expect this coin to do quite well when it crosses the block.
