1912 Ford Model T Torpedo
1912 Ford Model T Torpedo, engine number/sale number 154752:
Purchased in the early 1990s from a private seller in Las Vegas, NV. Said to have 100% original parts. This model of Model T was only built for three years: 1910, 1911, and 1912.

Vehicle is sold as-is, where-is. Vehicle is sold with Bill of Sale.

The comments below are from Doug Black, a friend, fellow collector, and enthusiastic observer on several of Mr. Tarzian's restoration projects, including this one.

“The Model T Torpedo was only built in 1911 and 1912. According to ‘Model T Ford, The Car That Changed The World’ by Bruce McCalley, the ‘1910’ Torpedos were built in late 1910, but were sold as 1911 cars.

By note of introduction, I was with Francis when we took his truck and trailer to Las Vegas to purchase this car. It was being stored in the Imperial Palace Car Museum, and it was waiting for transport to, if recall correctly, the McGee collection in Connecticut. I do recall the mention of a Dr. Snodgrass in Marin, California, as the previous owner.

This car was previously restored. Francis went through the engine as a meticulous machinist would -- everything was fine. The car is 100% original as delivered from the factory. All sheet metal -- body, fenders, running boards, etc. -- are original to the car, as delivered in 1912. All brass is original to the car as delivered in 1912. Headlamps, side lamps, tail lamp, radiator, the Jones speedometer, and even the muffler are all original to the car.

This is probably the most original 1912 Model T Torpedo in existence. Everything on the car is as it rolled off the assembly line in 1912 – brass, fenders, body, wheels.”
