<B>1912-D 1C MS65 Red PCGS.</B></I> A frosty and bright example that retains strong mint bloom and minimal traces of carbon. The dies show modest wear and thus lack the crispness seen on the earliest strikes. Minor planchet chatter marks are present on the upper reverse. David Lange (2005) writes: "Low-end Mint State coins are usually available, while choice and gem examples having original, fully red or even red/brown color are scarce and always in demand."
