1912-D 1C MS65 Red PCGS. The semi-key 1912-D cent is a challenging coin to locate in the better levels of Mint State with a sharp strike and pleasing color. The fully Red MS65 example in the current lot displays bright orange luster that exhibits hints of crimson on the obverse. An attentive strike brings out excellent definition on the design features, including the hair and bow tie and the lines of the wheat stalks. For complete accuracy, we note minor softness in the LU of PLURIBUS. A couple of minute obverse marks do not distract. Population: 91 in 65 Red, 7 finer (7/07).

Coin Engraver: Victor D.
