<B>1912-D 1C MS65 Red PCGS.</B></I> The 1912-D semi-key date is moderately scarce in all grades. David Lange (2005) writes: "Low-end Mint State coins are usually available, while choice and gem examples having original, fully red or even red/brown color are scarce and always in demand." Highly lustrous copper-gold surfaces greet the viewer of this Red Gem. While striking deficiencies can be a problem on this issue, the design elements on the present example are well defined, save for minor softness in the L of LIBERTY. A handful of minuscule flecks are seen on each side.
