1912-D 1C MS65 Red PCGS. A bold specimen of a sem
1912-D<1C> MS65 Red PCGS. A bold specimen of a semi-key date that normally comes weakly struck. The surfaces are nearly flawless, but a few toning flecks are seen, particularly on the obverse. There is a bit of red patina forming over the original copper color on the reverse. According to Dr. Sol Taylor, this date actually sold for three times the price of a 1909-S VDB in 1934. Housed in an early PCGS holder. Population: 70 in 65, 4 finer (3/05).
