<B>1912 5C MS66 PCGS.</B></I> The 1912 Liberty nickel, with a business strike mintage of over 26 million pieces, is easily available through MS64, and even Gems can be located with a little searching and patience. MS66 coins are much more difficult, and anything finer is virtually unobtainable. This Premium Gem displays radiantly lustrous surfaces that are covered with a thin veneer of champagne-gold color. The obverse strike is exceptional for this poorly struck issue, while the reverse exhibits some minor softness in the corn ear and leaves left of the bowknot. Both sides are quite well preserved.
