1912 1C PR64 Red PCGS. The 1912 Lincoln cent had a rat
1912 1C PR64 Red PCGS. The 1912 Lincoln cent had a rather generous proof mintage of 2,145 pieces, yet the issue is somewhat scarce. David Lange (2005) suggests that: "It's quite possible that the published figure is for the quantity of coins struck, while a number may have remained unsold at the end of the year and were destroyed." The orange-gold surfaces of this PR64 Red specimen display the coarse matte finish that characterizes most examples. Sharp definition shows on the design features, and no mentionable contact marks appear on either side. A few light flecks define the grade. Population: 31 in 64 Red, 16 finer (4/07).
From The Utah Collection.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
