<B>1912 $10 MS66 PCGS.</B></I> Technically speaking, this is the first year of issue for a new coin type, with 48 raised stars on the edge. Previous issues had just 46 stars on the edge, with the two additional stars representing the final two states in the Continental U.S., Arizona and New Mexico. While the 1912 is not a rare issue, it is elusive in Gem quality and Premium or Superb Gem pieces are extremely rare as the population data indicates. This example has frosty luster with gorgeous honey-gold surfaces and few marks of any type. For the collector with an eye for beauty, this is an excellent acquisition opportunity.
