<B>1911-S $20 MS66 PCGS.</B></I> This is an exquisitely preserved 1911-S double eagle, well-defined with outstanding luster and fine-grained, matte-like surfaces. Flashy yellow-golden hues give a fresh appearance to this coin, and bold luster radiates unimpeded from each side. The strike is bold, even on the sometimes problematic lower obverse, and shows a bit of softness only on the last digit of the date. Like the 1910-S before it, the 1911-S, with some 775,750 pieces produced, is a common enough issue in lower Mint State grades, but it becomes scarce when one reaches the Gem level.
