<B>1911-D/D $20 MS66 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Duckor/Akers. FS-501, Repunched Mintmark. The illustrious pedigree says much, but one does not hesitate to note the coruscating cartwheel luster, the delicious peach-gold coloration accented with mint-green, and the near-full strike over frosty and pristine surfaces. Were it not for a stray mark or two on the reverse sun device, this piece might qualify for a Superb Gem grade. As it stands, it is one of the few mintmarked Saint-Gaudens issues fairly obtainable in so high a Mint State grade, with the 1915-S and 1916-S close behind in terms of availability. As a huge bonus on so nice a coin, the mintmark is nicely and prominently repunched east, practically the poster child for this available but popular variety.
