1911-D $2 1/2 MS63 NGC. The Denver mintmark is bold on this shimmering key date quarter eagle. The fields are surprisingly unabraded for the MS63 level, and the strike on the headdress is sharp for the type. A wire rim is present on the obverse between 10 and 5 o'clock. A reverse wire rim is even more prominent, between 3 and 11 o'clock. The low mintage 1911-D is the number one item on the want lists of most Indian quarter eagle collectors, and there are many of these, since the series is affordably obtained by date and mintmark relative to the other 20th century gold denominations. Most collectors end up with a circulated example, but here is an opportunity to secure a lustrous problem-free Mint State piece.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
