1911-D $2 1/2 MS62 PCGS. This low mintage key date representative is pleasing for the MS62 grade. The satin surfaces exhibit light olive and almond-gold toning, and are surprisingly void of noticeable handling marks. The strike is good, particularly on the eagle, and even the headdress shows only minor incompleteness within the intricate details of the lowest feathers. The mintmark is bold. The highpoints are only slightly subdued. A slender strike-through (as produced) on the R in LIBERTY provides a pedigree identifier. Collections of Indian quarter eagles are invariably judged first by the quality of the 1911-D, and this smooth example provides an impressive introduction.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
