With just 55,680 pieces struck, the 1911-D has a mintage less than one-quarter that of the 1914, a sizable gap.<BR> This subtly lustrous example's lightly abraded surfaces are a particularly vibrant shade of butter-yellow. The devices are boldly impressed, even the three pendants on the obverse, and the overall eye appeal is substantial for the grade.
