1911-D $2 1/2 MS61 NGC. Produced in limited numbers (55,680 pieces), the 1911-D is the most challenging Indian Quarter Eagle to locate in both circulated and Mint State grades. A somewhat softly impressed D mintmark on the reverse and a partial wire rim from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock on the obverse help to authenticate this BU quality survivor. Light-to-medium intensity orange-gold color speaks volumes about this coin's originality, and the surfaces, while not particularly vibrant in the area of luster quality, are largely free of singularly distracting abrasions. With the exception of the mintmark and the eagle's right (facing) shoulder feathers, every feature is expectantly bold for the issue. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
