1911-D $10 MS63 NGC. The 1911-D, with a mintage of 30,100, is the undisputed condition rarity in the Indian Head ten dollar series. In the grade of MS63, the level of preservation of the coin in this lot, NGC and PCGS combined have certified only 30 pieces. Bright yellow-gold surfaces are somewhat frosty and finely granular with pleasing luster, which is typical fir the issue. The strike is above average for the date; nice definition is visible in the Indian's hair and headdress feathers, as well as on the eagle's leg feathers, which usually exhibit softness. Some minute marks on the cheek and in the reverse field account for the grade.
From The Dr. Eugene Cherny Collection of $5 and $10 Indians.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)

Important
