1911 $20 MS65 PCGS. Even though almost 200,000 pieces were minted of this issue, there are very few high grade survivors known today. As an aside, the Saint-Gaudens series probably has the most useless mintage data in all of U.S. numismatics with the possible exception of Capped Bust Left half eagles. The reason both are so unreliable is the same in each case: extensive meltings, although for different reasons.
Sharply defined in all areas, the surfaces of this piece are pleasing and exhibit soft, frosted mint luster with virtually no abrasions on either side. A pronounced reddish tint is seen over each side. An important P-mint condition rarity with only 37 other coins so graded by PCGS with 10 finer (4/07).

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
