<B>1911 $2 1/2 PR67 NGC.</B></I> The surfaces of this Superb Gem proof have bright lemon-yellow color with traces of deeper orange toning. Both sides have the multi-faceted surfaces typical of the matte proof coinage from this era. A few tiny toning spots are evident on the reverse with otherwise pristine surfaces. Only 191 of these proofs were coined in 1911, and the date is about tied with 1910 for the second most available matte proof quarter eagle after 1908.
