1911<$10> MS63 PCGS. A little-known design change occurred between the 1911 and 1912 issues of eagles and double eagles: the edge design had two stars added, which increased the number from 46 to 48, to correspond to the new number of states in the United States. This piece is one of the old-edge coins, nicely struck with vibrant luster and vivid yellow-gold surfaces. Only a few small marks appear on Liberty's cheek and neck.
