This is an antique circa 1910s color plate print from the scarce Italian portfolio series titled "Modelli D'Arte Decorativa." Artist: L. Mantovani. Print title: "Vignette." There is nothing on the reverse. Alfieri & Lacroix, Milano. Edited by Preiss & Bestetti, Milano. The series consists of four volumes, each with 60 plates, for a total of 240 color plates on heavy glossy paper (some of which are woodblock prints). Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles. A collection of various motifs: Carpets, ceilings, murals, windows, signs, scrolls, panels and decorative motifs, ceramics, acronyms, cartoons, friezes, fabrics, carvings. They were used as samples/instructional drawings for artists, painters, graphic designers, and architects.

Artists include Zorn, Cavaleri, Buffa, Codenotti, Lolli, Palanti, Brandi, Codenotti, Magrini, Dudovich, Beltrame, Beltrami, Stroppa, Burzi, Brunelli, Franzoni, Sartorio, Carroli, Casanova, Chini, Tito, Bernasconi, Nagarajan, Zuccaro, Alciati, Palchetti, Mantovani, and Sogno. Very good condition except for some denting, some light edge wear, some light yellowing along the edges, a taped 1" tear on the left edge near the bottom, and some crunching and tears on the top edge.
