1910-S 1C MS66 Red PCGS. David Lange (2005) writes: "The population report data verifies that this date is common in Mint State, with many choice examples to be found. True Gems are fairly easy to find, and they appear with more frequency than for other S-mint Lincoln cents before 1929." Lange's statements notwithstanding, full red Premium Gems, such as the piece offered in this lot, are not easy to come by. Copper-gold luster embraces both sides of this gorgeous example, and sharp definition shows on most of the design elements. Well preserved surfaces are devoid of significant contact marks or unsightly spots. Population: 58 in 66 Red, 2 finer (6/07).

Coin Engraver: Victor D.
