We expect fierce bidding for the example we present here, a 9.5/10 beauty penned upon a book plate that has been carefully removed from a presentational copy of Mathewson's 1910 book u Won in the Ninth. /u Mathewson's elegant script is found at the bottom of the 3x4" card, which exhibits some mild toning that does nothing to diminish the power of the signature.
