1910 Assay Commission Medal. MS63 Uncertified. Julian AC-54, R.5. Bronze, 44.1 mm., 601.9 grains. President William H. Taft is depicted on the obverse with the legend WILLIAM H. TAFT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. In the left obverse field, small letters BARBER identify the engraver, Charles E. Barber. The reverse, designed by George T. Morgan, depicts two seated genii, facing each other and holding a tablet with the 1910 date, on which an eagle is perched. Below, a banner carries the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM, and around is the legend MINT OF THE UNITED STATES ANNUAL ASSAY. Morgan's name appears in small letters below the motto. This is a sharply struck example with satiny luster and vivid yellow-bronze surfaces.
