<B>1909-S VDB 1C VF25 PCGS.</B></I> Ever since the first year of the Lincoln cent series, the '09-S VDB has represented an important rarity. For reasons that are disputed by numismatists, this design with Victor David Brenner's initials at the bottom of the reverse was changed very quickly, and VDB was removed.
