1909-S VDB 1C MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. This key-date representative displays pleasing luster and attractive copper-gold color with imprints of crimson, sky-blue, and purple. A powerful strike makes itself known with bold definition on Lincoln's portrait, the date and mintmark, the lines of the wheat stalks, and on the V.D.B. There are no mentionable abrasions or unsightly spots. As David Lange (1996) indicates, this issue was "Widely hoarded at the time of its release, uncirculated coins are actually quite common." Despite the relative abundance of Mint State 1909-S VDB cents, it is difficult to imagine that many can match the outstanding attributes of the Gem example offered here.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
