<B>1909-S VDB 1C MS65 Red and Brown PCGS.</B></I> This coin shows the "woodgrain" texture often seen on many 1909 cents. It is more the variegated color from this woodgrain effect, rather than any actual brown that gives the coin its Red and Brown designation. Close examination reveals a wide variation in colors from almost yellow-gold to orange-red to deep cherry-red.
