<B>1909-S VDB 1C MS64 Red and Brown NGC.</B></I> The almost half million pieces struck with Victor Brenner's initials on the reverse were subject to intense speculation for a short window of time in August 1909. The San Francisco version has always been regarded as a key to the series and has always brought a substantial premium over other Lincoln cents. This piece has lovely red color with only the slightest hint of mellowing.
