<B>1909-S VDB 1C MS64 Red PCGS.</B></I> The 1909-S VDB was widely hoarded at the time of its release, making Uncirculated coins, even fully red Gems, fairly available. That said, these coins sell quickly to those putting together a date and mintmark set, or to those that are simply fascinated by the issue. The near-Gem red specimen we offer in this lot displays bright orange surfaces and sharply impressed motifs. Slightly darker toning spots that pepper both sides limit the grade.
