1909-S VDB 1C MS64 Red PCGS. Long considered the unequivocal key date of the Lincoln Cent series, this issue has perhaps gained competition from the 1914-D and others, but remains certainly one of the two or three most keenly sought-after examples of its type. The current specimen has marvelous color, rather bright yellow-orange and light-golden near the centers, with darker orange and crimson iridescence at the edges. The surfaces are essentially impeccable, displaying only two or three wispy marks, all on or close to Lincoln's shoulder. Two small and two medium-sized dark spots are evident on the reverse side, but are not a significant distraction. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
