<B>1909-S 1C MS66 Red PCGS.</B></I> Many, many times rarer than the 1909-S, VDB cent, the 1909-S was virtually ignored while the SVDB was hoarded by the thousands. The current (12/06) PCGS <I>Population Report</B></I> shows 115 pieces of the 1909-S in MS66 Red, with four coins finer, compared to 160 pieces of the 1909-S, VDB in the same grade, and nine examples finer. This beautiful coin just <I>screams</B></I> "eye appeal," with radiant luster on both sides complementing the delicate pinkish-orange and sunset-orange patina. This sharply struck piece shows minuscule flecks only on the reverse, visible with a loupe.
