<B>1909-S 1C MS64 Red PCGS.</B></I> The 1909-S Indian cent was saved as the last of its issue, making its rarity much lower than the low-mintage coins of earlier years (Richard Snow, 2006). Nevertheless, it is a popular date in the Indian Head cent series, and is necessary for the completion of a date/mintmark collection. The near-Gem example offered in this lot possesses an attractive copper-brass-gold coloration, and is sharply struck, including crisp delineation on all of the diamonds.
