<B>1909-S<$10> MS64 NGC.</B></I> A condition rarity within the Indian eagle series. Examples of the 1909-S in MS64 number only a few dozen at both services combined, and only about two dozen Gem pieces are known. This is a blazing yellow-gold example, with fine-grained, mattelike surfaces. Only a few light abrasions on the Indian's cheek apparently preclude a Gem grade, but the eye appeal is hands-down finer than most examples of the series or issue. The reverse is remarkably pristine. A nice one! Census: 30 in 64, 9 finer (9/06).
