<B>1909-O $5 AU53 NGC.</B></I> The last gold coin produced at the New Orleans Mint, and the only Indian Head gold coin made there, since the mint closed in 1909 after 70+ years of coinage operations--an event likely hastened by the beginning of coinage in Denver at a new Mint facility in 1906. The 1909-O is a low-mintage key to its series, one for which demand and prices have soared in recent years.
