This is an absolutely beautiful piece of Americana and the most collectible Cash Register made. This is a National Cash Register in good working condition. This cash register was built in 1909 and then rebuilt in 1917-1918, and then sold in 1919 as determined by the serial number "S120480F." This is a Model 313, which would be a Barber Shop or Candy Store cash register. The bottom of the cash drawer reads, "August 15, 1919, Register No. S120480F Size 313 Finish B Register sold to J K Gill Co., Portland Ore." This piece was made with a base brass frame and then B or nickel plated and the front drawer is solid nickel. This had a patina color applied at sometime. This piece is in great condition and has a wonderful history. Originally thought to have been sold to a company in Butte Mt then rebuilt and sold in Portland. Has the original marble top and buttons, all the buttons work and cash drawer opens and rings. The original nickel buttons on the marble show the original color of the machine. Measures 10.5"x16.25" and 17" tall.
