<B>1909-D $20 MS64 PCGS.</B></I> It is little wonder that the '09-D Saint-Gaudens is a difficult coin to locate, even in circulated grades. Its original mintage of 52,500 pieces is the lowest for the type from the Denver Mint, and ensures the relative scarcity of this issue compared to most of the other dates in this immensely popular series. An impressive, Choice quality representative, this example displays a soft, frosty texture and warm golden-rose coloration. Both sides are typically clean for the grade and the striking details are generally unimpeachable; only Liberty's torch hand and the foliage near the lower right obverse border betray slight weakness.
