<B>1909-D $20 MS63 NGC.</B></I> A key date in the Saint-Gaudens series and the scarcest D-mint issue, the 1909-D had an original mintage of only 52,500 coins, and the typical example encountered--when they are encountered at all--grades only MS61 or so. The present example offers luscious yellow-gold coloration with satiny luster and enormous eye appeal. A couple of small luster grazes appear in the left obverse field upon careful scrutiny, but this coin nonetheless appears high-end for the assigned grade.
