Gorgeous map! 45.25" x 29" color. Revised and drawn by Charles J. Helm. Andrew B. Graham Co. Lithographers, Washington D.C. Department of the Interior, General Land Office, Fred Dennett, Commissioner. Scale 1 inch=12 miles. Shows forest reserves, Indian reserves, and military reserves. Special shaded sections for Reclamation Projects and areas affected by the Irrigation-Carey Act. Insets of Pocatello, Wallace, Boise, and Lewiston (and vicinities). Senate Doc. No. 370, 61st Congress, 2nd Session. Folds with very minor separation. The Carey Act was passed in 1894 and allowed for private companies to erect irrigation systems in the western semi-arid states, and profit from the sales of water.
